Brassica Boost
Manure is a classic input for vermicomposting. It combines all of the rich fertilizing benefits of animal manure with the plant accessible, soil building qualities of worm castings. It’s a double pass through casting! We use horse manure and it is our only non-local input. This because sourcing manure without persistent herbicides and chemicals is unfortunately very difficult. We are working with a horse farm in Massachusetts that only uses organic hay grown on site. It’s the highest quality manure available.
